With the beginning of the new year of 2012, local real estate shows signs of rising slowly as an increased interest with buyers is maintained and sales continue to happen in the East Greenwich real estate arena.
12 East Greenwich single family homes have been sold in December 2011, as follows:
7 homes sold over $400,000
2 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
3 homes sold for under $300,000
There were 117 East Greenwich homes for sale in December 2011 which was a 3% decrease over the prior month. Certainly the choices of homes in all price ranges are there for interested buyers. The number of homes sold in December doubled from the prior month-home sale activity is good.
December’s pending home sales: 8 homes. It is remains a buyers RI real estate market here.
Overall 127 East Greenwich single family homes were sold in 2011:
– Average East Greenwich home sold for $444,57
– Homes were on the market for 121 days
– Homes sold for 95% of list price
– 8% fewer homes sold in 2011

As you can see 29% of the 2011 homes sold were under $300,000, 14% were $300,000-$400,000 and 57% were over $400,000. All to compare against the new year of 2012 home sales.
