East Greenwich RI Real Estate Market Update-  Year to Date June 2012

 

 

There were 27 East Greenwich homes sold in the month of June, as follows:

15 homes sold over $400,000

5 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
7 homes sold for under $300,000

Home sales increased again last month with a 17% increase over May!  There were 120 East Greenwich homes for sale in June 2012 which was a minimum increase over the prior month.   Currently, there are 9 luxury East Greenwich homes for sale over $1 million.

30 homes are Pending in East Greenwich in June awaiting closing. This is almost as large as the prior month which indicates that buyers are out in a big way buying Rhode Island real estate here.

East Greenwich has the homes, house amenities and the location buyers want and there are many neighborhood choices of interest.  Schools remain a top attraction for living here (East Greenwich being one of the top rated state school systems).  As well as easy commute to Providence and the Wickford Junction train station is a stone’s throw for those commuting to Boston!

 

The historic Main Street in East Greenwich is packed with unique shops and foodie restaurants– it is always worth a meal here.  The marinas and Hill and Harbor area are always a draw also for those looking for a great experience along the waterfront.

In June 2012, the average East Greenwich RI home sold for $436,969, was on the market for 81 days and sold for 94% of list price.

 Whereas the median priced East Greenwich RI home sold for $440,250, was on the market for 59 days and sold for 95% of list price in June 2012.
