National Guard Air Show you and on Narragansett Bay, you got the first glimpses of these amazing boats as they were unloaded from the cargo ships docked at Quonset RI.
Anyone who saw them said ” Wow what is that?” The boats look alien like they are so high tech in their design.
The actual practice racing begins June 26 & June 27th, June 28th is the seeding, June 29th is match racing semi-finals and eliminations, June 30th is speed trial and fleet racing and July 1st is match racing championship final and the Newport Fleet race final. Regatta Schedule is subject to change without notice so check to make sure before you head to Newport or Beavertail in Jamestown RI to watch the races.
The best place to see the America’s Cup World Series races is at Fort Adams State Park in Newport RI. However, I have heard that if you are in the know you can find a good viewing platform in Newport or Jamestown during this week. Actually the boats will be cruising by Narragansett beach on June 21st in the evening in parade if you want a glimpse this may be the day! We are so fortunate in Rhode Island real estate to have these races in RI.
