The Charlestown RI real estate market report for October indicates the following:   

Active homes on the market: 100  (-5% decrease in homes for sale over the prior month)

Sold Homes in October: 7 homes (-13% decrease in sold homes over the prior month):

7 homes sold:  1 home <$300,000, 2 homes -$300,000-$400,000, 2 homes  >$400,000

                                  and 2 homes > $1 million

            Average home sold for $897,428 at 96% of list price and days on market was 81.

            Median home sold for $460,000 at 98% of list price and days on market was 94.

 

Pending Homes:  21 homes ( -13% decrease in homes over the prior month)

 

The Charlestown RI real estate market had a slight decline in October.  However, this waterfront RI real estate market has had a huge rebound in home sales compared to last year!  132 homes sold year to date compared with 100 homes sold for the same time period in 2011.  This is a 32% increase in Charlestown home sales this year!  Wow!
