this U.S.A. Woodrow Wilson established Veterans Day in the 1900’s and said the following which is very fitting today:
“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”
In North Kingstown RI we are celebrating Veterans Day with our parade tomorrow starting at Wilson Park at 9 a.m..
Please come out to your local parades and support the Veterans who have given up so much for all of us past and present. Say a ‘thank you’ to a Veteran on this day. Remember today | Honor Veterans | Veterans Day.
