In January 2011 there were 193 South Kingstown homeson the market which is nearly equal (1 less) to the number of homes in December 2010 for sale.
The home inventory is remaining constant with the new year and sellers prepare for the spring housing market. Choices of homes remains fairly consistent as ready, willing and able buyers are actively looking to make their purchases now while mortgage rates remain at lower levels. Some people remind me that the early 80’s had mortgage interest rates up to 18%!
South Kingstown RI homes sold for January 2011 were up from 17 sold the prior month to 19 homes sold.
With the snowy and wintry season upon us, this is an unusual pattern. Actually the heavy snows have negatively impacted the home buying market in the surrounding towns in January but South Kingstown homes for sale have stayed level.

South Kingstown pending home sales continue to be strong with 26 homes in contract agreement by month end.
