OMG…It is the Orange stickers again in Narragansett RI and why would this be of concern to a buyer looking for a Narragansett

primary residence or an investment home?  Well these ‘orange stickers‘ placed on homes by the police are the Scarlet Letter ‘A’ (orange letter ‘A’) which denotes the home is an active party home.  It means the home occupants have violated town ordinances and the owner has been probably levied a fine. With many URI students renting off campus it is a two edged sword here- on one hand the number of home rentals keeps the town’s taxes low (less education expense) and on the other hand the students do like to party and may disrupt quiet neighborhoods.

 

 

Dealing with Narragansett home rentals takes care and thoroughness from a knowledgeable Real Estate Agent- using the right Real Estate Agent is a must.  Buying next door to an orange stickered house is not probably where you want to be living.
