What the Week of Boston Bombings Showed Me

Can we say it was the week that was with the Boston bombings and the resilience of a community?  It is an undeniable fact that we lost

boston bombings will not define us

Boston Strong!

our innocence in this country with the Oklahoma bombings, 9/11 and now with Boston bombings.  We have lived such a sheltered life in this country I believe and that can only be felt by traveling to other less democratic societies in our world.  Our news chooses what we see and how we process all that happens.

Yet as Americans we have an incredible love for one another

(although not always openly shown), a brotherhood that says we stand by you and a supportive innate human bond that is undying. What makes us so proud is that we have freedom and opportunities very few individuals get around the world.  We choose to live by our Constitution of rights for all.

The amazing efforts of everyone who was there at the Boston bombings showed the caring and support we all feel for one another in times of strife.  I do think it is something learned even though the nurturing and caring part of all mammals should be innate to our very beings.  It seems it is always the troubled ones that lose sight of who they are and wreak havoc on others.
So I am proud as always to be an American supporting the freedom we have …everyday…with appreciation.  What the Week of Boston Bombings Showed Me.
