There were 146 Charlestown RI homes for sale in August 2011 which was a 5% decrease over the prior month (8 less homes for sale). Of the Charlestown RI real estate homes on the market 21 of them are over $1 million.

Pending home sales have increased by 3 homes over July 2011 and there are 18 homes in pending in Charlestown RI. To be in ‘pending’ status is to be awaiting on the closing of the home i.e. there is a signed purchase and sales agreement on the home. This waiting time is usually due to the lender going through their punch list of items needed from the buyers and/or finishing up agreed upon items from the home inspection.
Out of state buyers continue to search for oceanfront Charlestown RI homes for sale. I do expect real estate to remain constant this fall especially in the lower price ranges and for waterfront and vacation homes.
