Quidnessett – North Kingstown RI

The Quidnessett neighborhood is located in the northern part of North Kingstown RI and off Post Road and between Essex, North Quidnessett, Fletcher and Potter Roads and circling down to Pojac Point.  Conveniently located north of Quonset Point and just south of East Greenwich RI, it is a quick 5-10 minutes from local supermarkets, Wickford Village, YMCA and stores. There is great history here as the Narragansett Indians would summer along the waters here.  Some homeowners have had their property in their family since the 18th century with future generations taking care of the land.  Wealthy mill owners found the land enticing and built their mansions here which can be found on the Scalabrini Villa Health Center land.  Also, you will find the 100 acre parcel of land now occupied by the Quidnessett Country Club, its renowned golf course and the luxury Quidnessett condos here within the Quidnessett neighborhood.

This neighborhood is beautifully treed with larger acreage in many parts of the neighborhood with streams and pasture too.  Many of the builders in the past were able to build the homes they built for the North Kingstown community because they left ‘open space’ for the neighborhood –  this is very evident in the Quidnessett neighborhood.

Another neighborhood around the corner from Quidnessett that borders the Narragansett Bay coastline is Pojac Point which borders East Greenwich and Warwick RI neighborhoods.
