With 2012 coming fast and furiously at us by next week, the winter activities to do with family and friends are on the minds of Rhode Islanders

and visitors to our RI real estate little state for New Year’s Eve.  Number one on anyone’s list should be Bright Night (long ago called First Night) which begins in the Providence RI venue at Bank of America’s skating center at Kennedy Drive.  Official kickoff for Bright Night is at 5:00 p.m. on 12/31/11 and buying your buttons now is encouraged to save money with $15  per person ($20 day of event).  Buy tickets here or BUY BY PHONE: 1-800-838-3006.Bright Night Providence is now run by local artists supported by corporate & city sponsors and citizen donations.  With over 140 artists/performers in over 26 different venues throughout Providence locations.  Featuring Waterfire, fireworks and the opening ceremony activities at the Bank of America skating center at Kennedy Drive.It is a great way to enjoy the downtown Capitol city venues for little cost and with so many choices for the evening whether you are just an adult group, have children or a mix of both.  Come and enjoy the New Year’s Eve Providence celebration- RI style.Events scheduled as follows (check Bright Nights for any changes):

Features live music by Santa Mamba, passed hors d’oeuvres, 6 different bar stations, a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, a Masquarde Ball Fashion show featuring I Wink Clothing, 3 DJ’s and much, much more! The event is hosted by former Providence mayor Buddy Cianci and television personality Claudia Jordan, and Patriot players Troy Brown and Patrick Pass will also make an appearance. Masks are optional, and will be provided at the event. Proceeds partially support the Gloria Gemma Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to raise breast cancer awareness, increase breast health education, and generate funding for critical breast health programs. A strict dress code will be enforced. Suits for men, cocktail dresses for ladies.
