Bonnet Shores has two neighborhoods within one area so to speak. Bonnet Shores Road neighborhood is one and it remains a distinct waterfront Narragansett RI real estate neighborhood too. But we are heading right on the main road to Bonnet Shores Point located at the road fork on Bonnet Shores Road to Bonnet Point Road. It takes one past the high grasses of Westquage Pond too. Affectionately known as ‘Bonnet’ to the locals…come follow me down this road.
There is a great diversity of waterfront Narragansett neighborhoods to choose from, experience and mosey around in when RI house hunting. Also, it is all about the beach in Narragansett and all neighborhoods are close to a number of the many beaches on Narragansett Bay or the ocean. Yet, Narragansett Beach continues to be rated the number one beach in RI year after year. Bonnet Shores, well I know the nooks and crannies of this Narragansett neighborhood well. It has evolved over time into a wonderful waterfront community of vacation and year round living homes. Bonnet Shores beach club is a big attraction to many who have summer homes here or just like its uniqueness. Without the crowds of Narragansett beach around you, you can join for a fee since it is a private club
A mixture of street names from Treasure, Namcook, Leonard Bodwell, Dune Roads to Colonel John Gardiner Road awaits you. The streets are along the easterly end of the neighborhood and look out on Conanicut Island, Jamestown RI. From the renovated cottages to the uber built newer homes in Bonnet Shores, there is very little vacant land to be found in Bonnet Shores Point.
Prices range from $3.5 million down to $300,000 here ( perchance you find something less expensive usually means it needs oodles of work and renovation). There is a cottage, home or mansion on or within walking distance of the Bonnet waterfront. Yes, homes here come in all shapes and sizes. There is one that will appeal to you or is waiting for that renovation contractor skill! But be aware that a home with more than a bit of land will cost you dearly. The days of inexpensive land in Narragansett are gone unless you are very lucky!
