I had two very happy campers as buyers that were glad that we made it to the closing table….yes, it was a bit of a challenge. Even though the seller built this house for his family originally there were a number of things that the home inspector was not satisfied with upon inspection. We negotiated back and forth and dollar amounts were placed on things requested. However, the buyers and sellers could not reach a compromise on the items to be repaired. My buyers finally threw the hands up and walked away from buying the home. We were beginning our house hunt again.

Well there is something to be said when two agents are on the same page, tango together well and I have to say we two did. If it were not for the cooperative attitude of the other real estate agent, this sale probably would not had happened. He worked as hard as I did to try to resolve the sticking points to bring my buyers back to the bargaining table with me. This Hopkinton RI house was sitting empty in the woods and needed to be sold by the sellers since they were carrying two mortgages at this point. So we put it back together on both sides of the sale, got agreement and resolution on the real sticking points on home repairs and truthfully the buyers got a great house for the money….$278,500.
