With the beginning of the new year of 2012, local real estate shows signs of rising slowly as an increased interest with buyers is maintained and sales continue to happen in the Narragansett real estate arena.
19 Narragansett homes have been sold in December 2011, as follows:
8 homes sold over $400,000
6 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
5 homes sold for under $300,000
There were 184 Narragansett homes for sale in December 2011 which was a 11 % decrease over the prior month(23 less homes for sale). Certainly the choices of homes in all price ranges are there for interested buyers. In the $1 million category, there are 31 Narragansett homes for sale right now. The number of homes sold in December was 58% higher to the number sold in the prior month-home sale activity was very good…. sales continue in this waterfront Narragansett community.
No Narragansett short sales sold this past month. RI short sales continue to grow in the various RI towns so working with the North Kingstown short sale agents decidedly makes the difference in a successful outcome. Narragansett’s December pending home sales: 21 homes. It is remains a buyers market here.

During 2011, 10 Narragansett homes sold for over $1 million. Still Narragansett remains a great and expansive location for luxury and oceanfront homes to buy in.
