Kingston RI | Balloon Festival | Up Up and Away.
The South County Hot Air Balloon Festivalis in full swing starting at 4 p.m. tonight July 20-22nd on the campus of the
Up, up and away
University of Rhode Island at Kingston in the town of South Kingstown.
The events not only include the famous hot air balloons in all their splendor but live music, racing pigs, kite flying, carnival rides & games, trapeze acts, crafts, food, petting zoo and more.
Even with the heat this weekend this South County Balloon Festival will draw thousands to it. The Wakefield Rotary Club is the sponsor as part of their generous fund raising activities for the local community.
They have raised over $1 million over the years for charitable giving projects. A tremendous effort by all so come out for a low cost to support and enjoy this wonderful event.
Admission: $10/adult, $5/kid or $25 for a family.
It is open Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Kingston RI just off Rte. 138.
Bring the family and friends and enjoy this wonderful hot air balloon event. It is especially wonderful at 6 a.m. to watch these balloons get off the ground and soar (weather permitting). Hope to see you there!
