Real Estate market for September 2012?    East Greenwich real estate had a dip in home sales this month with a 24% decrease over the prior month.  However, East Greenwich home sales are up 45% in 2012 year to date over the same time period in 2011 which is great news for home sellers!

 

Sales were as follows in September:  16 East Greenwich homes sold.

1 home sold over $1 million

9 homes sold over $400,000

1 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
5 homes sold for under $300,000

 

There were 131 East Greenwich homes for sale in September which was a 7 % decrease over August.   Currently, there are  luxury East Greenwich homes for sale over $1 million.

 

 What is Happening in the East Greenwich RI Real Estate Market?

13 homes are pending in East Greenwich in September and awaiting closing for their buyers. Pending sales are down by 32% from the prior month but buyers are still  searching for Rhode Island real estate here.

East Greenwich has the homes for sale, the location buyers want and neigh

borhoods to choose from.  Schools remain a top attraction for living here, as well as the easy commute to Providence.

 

The historic Main Street in East Greenwich is packed with unique shops and foodie restaurants– it is always worth a meal here.  The marinas and Hill and Harbor area are always a draw also for those looking for a great experience along the waterfront.

 

There were no East Greenwich short sales sold in September.

In September 2012, the average East Greenwich RI home sold for $471,212, was on the market for 95 days and sold for 92% of list price.

Whereas the median priced East Greenwich RI home sold for $497,450, was on the market for 66 days and sold for 96% of list price in September 2012.  Home prices increased this month and days on market decreased.
